The Dutch armed forces ensure that their ammunition needs are covered by long-term framework agreements. For the land forces, the Dutch procurement authority Defense Material Organization (DMO) has now entered into such an agreement with Rheinmetall with a term of ten years for the supply of 35mm medium caliber ammunition for armored personnel carriers, 40mm ROSY smoke grenade ammunition and modern 155mm artillery ammunition with an annual volume of 50 million euros completed.
The Dutch government and Rheinmetall are thus continuing their long-standing cooperation, which was strengthened only last year with the conclusion of a partnership agreement. In connection with the partnership agreement, Rheinmetall has assumed responsibility for the complete 155mm portfolio, ranging from the current Assegai ammunition range to the modular charges and fuses.
Die niederländische Beschaffungsbehörde möchte mit diesem Rahmenvertrag die Lieferung von moderner Munition an die niederländischen Streitkräfte sicherstellen. Die ersten Abrufe werden in den Niederlanden bereits vorbereitet.
