Command Posts 2.0 – The new generation of command posts for land-based operations

The war in Ukraine is making German defense policy increasingly aware of the future challenges the Bundeswehr will have to prepare for as it focuses on national and alliance defense.
Due to a lack of investment in the area of management organization, the resulting deficits must be remedied as quickly as possible as part of the changing times. The aim is to improve troop leadership. In particular, the command post technology used so far needs to be replaced due to very intensive use, but also because of its old age. The “Command Posts for Land-Based Operations” project was initiated for this purpose. Its task is to gradually modernize and digitize the command posts, including the associated information technology.
