The armaments group for land systems KMW+NEXTER Defense Systems NV (KNDS), founded in 2015, says it is standardizing its brand identity. From now on, the companies Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Nexter as well as their subsidiaries will appear exclusively under the KNDS brand.
The group wants to underscore its claim as a driving force in the necessary consolidation of the European industry for military land systems. The industry has so far been shaped by numerous national manufacturers with a large number of products and systems, writes KNDS. Their combination and joint strategic control will make a significant contribution to the standardized equipment of Europe's land forces and the customers of the European defense industry.
