After implementation of the P2Eb software root, the medium-range Meteor guided missile can be used on the Bundeswehr's Eurofighter fighter aircraft. The Eurofighters, which were the first to be converted, are stationed at Tactical Air Force Squadron 74 in Neuburg an der Donau. The conversion also includes new radar software. Both measures improve the operational value of the Eurofighter.

Meteor is a medium-range air-to-air guided missile that, according to unofficial information, can engage highly agile targets at a distance of 200 km at speeds of over Mach 4. The 185 kg missile is guided via an active radar seeker and deploys its explosive charge using impact or proximity fuses. The Bundeswehr ordered 150 guided missiles in an initial batch in 2013, which were delivered from 2020. A second lot of 100 Meteor was commissioned in 2019.
