On October 1, 2022, the Federal Armed Forces Territorial Command in Berlin was put into service by the then Federal Minister of Defense Christine Lambrecht. “We are strengthening the operational readiness of the Bundeswehr. The new leadership command will help us to make decisions even better, faster and more coordinated in the future,” she stated in the speech at the presentation. Inspector General General Zorn stated on this occasion: "With the establishment of the Territorial Command and Control Command of the Bundeswehr, the focus on the core task of national and alliance defense, which began in 2014, is being consistently continued."
