Der Eagle V von General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) gehört zu den modernsten geschützten Mehrzweckfahrzeugen der Welt und ist sowohl in einer 4×4- als auch 6×6-Konfiguration lieferbar. Die Bundeswehr hat insgesamt 675 Eagle IV/V 4×4 in der Variante Geschütztes Führungs- und Funktionsfahrzeug 2 (GFF2) inklusive Beweglicher Arzttrupp (BAT) sowie 80 Eagle V 6×6 in der Ausführung mittleres geschütztes Sanitäts-Kraftfahrzeug (mgSanKfz) beschafft, weitere Varianten könnten in Kürze folgen.

Both vehicle versions share common components in the area of ​​the axles and the drive train. The engine and transmission are also from the same series, which offers users advantages in the areas of maintenance, repair and operation.
