Eagle V TASYS for the Swiss Army

The Swiss procurement authority armasuisse has commissioned General Dynamics European Landsystems-Mowag (GDELS) with the delivery of 100 Eagle V as a carrier platform for the TASYS tactical reconnaissance system. Production will begin in 2020. Induction into the force is scheduled for the period from mid-2023 to late 2025.

The TASYS reconnaissance system is equipped with a multi-sensor system on a telescopic mast and a data processing system for intelligence gathering by the Swiss Army, which can also be operated separately from the vehicle. The crew in the armored cabin is protected against ballistic and blast threats. A remote-controlled weapon station on the vehicle roof is used for self-defence. The Eagle V 6×6 offers sufficient payload reserves for later further developments.
