At the beginning of December 2021, the French industrial consortium GME (Groupement Momentané d'Entreprises) EBMR (engin blindé multi rôles), consisting of Nexter, Arquus and Thales, fulfilled the agreed delivery of 119 Griffon multi-purpose vehicles for the current year. This means that the French procurement authority DGA has received a total of 339 Griffons since the start of deliveries in 2019, as the GME companies have explained in a joint press release.

Mission Attire empowers the Griffon for various tasks. A total of eight variants of the troop transport version are currently certified: command post vehicle (EPC), infantry group FELIN, sniper group (STE), 81 mm mortar (MO81), refueling (RAV), light intervention element (ELI), engineer (GEN), medium-range missile (MMP ).

Other variants are planned in the Scorpion program, for example, NBC defense (NRBC), ambulance (SAN), artillery observer (VOA), 120 mm mortar (MEPAC), tactical liaison (NCT), patrol (VPB), surveillance/reconnaissance (SA2R) and Electronic Combat (GE).

The multi-purpose vehicle Griffon is part of the French armaments program Scorpion. Accordingly, 1,872 Griffons are planned, of which 936 are to be delivered by 2025.
