As part of the expansion of the recently founded Rheinmetall Project Solutions, Rheinmetall has acquired Zeppelin Mobile Systeme GmbH (ZMS), a specialist in container and shelter solutions.
Container and shelter solutions from ZMS are primarily used for mobile medical function rooms in the civilian sector as well as for military command facilities. ZMS' solutions could create a working environment for emergency services in crisis areas in all climate zones that could otherwise only be achieved through fixed infrastructure, says Rheinmetall, describing the acquired product range.
Rheinmetall Project Solutions GmbH is currently being expanded to pool Rheinmetall's resources and capabilities around services for armed forces and security forces. According to Rheinmetall, the services should be offered “from a single source”, for example in operational support, depot organization or waste disposal of ammunition. Rheinmetall Project Solutions has received its first major order with a framework agreement for the project “Provision of accommodation during deployment”. The agreement was concluded with the Federal Office for Infrastructure, Environmental Protection and Bundeswehr Services (BAIUDBw).
