As part of the ongoing modernization of the AWACS fleet, IT equipment on NATO's 14 AWACS aircraft is also being modernized. It's about enabling communication in both the secured (red) area and the open (black) area. With the system that has now been ordered, operators should be able to use the same user interfaces for both areas. To ensure a clear distinction between red and black, Infodas was tasked with delivering and implementing SDot products as an essential part of the information security architecture. The security interface enables bidirectional data exchange and the filtering of structured and unstructured data formats between different security domains up to NATO Secret classification. In this way, systems with different security classifications can be connected to one another and the loss of secret data can be prevented.

A year ago, NATO commissioned Boeing Defense as the general contractor to modernize the AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) fleet. ESUT has about itreported. After the modernization, the AWACS machines are expected to operate until at least 2035.
