On September 26, 2019, the Lithuanian Armed Forces took delivery of the second tranche of 110 Unimog U5000 from Mercedes-Benz.
The supply contract with a volume of 70 million euros provides for logistical support, special tools and test equipment as well as other guarantees for the first 15 years of operation.
The new 5-ton tactical trucks will be assigned to the Lithuanian Land Forces and other units, complementing the existing fleet of equipment of the same type with which the Lithuanian forces are well acquainted. The Unimog are used for logistical support and personnel transport.
