After an extensive tender process, the H145 was selected by Airbus as a fleet replacement aircraft for the aging STARS air ambulance fleet, making it the first H145 in HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) configuration to arrive in Canada. The H145 with HEMS interior will support STARS medical personnel in providing safe, rapid and highly specialized emergency medical transport for the seriously ill and injured. The first tranche of the H145 will be delivered in 2019 and will be stationed at the STARS site in Calgary, Alberta.
