For airmobile operational units of Airborne Brigade 1, the providers of general and direct pioneer support are the Airborne Pioneer Companies 260 from Saarlouis and 270 from Seedorf. In doing so, they support the Airborne Brigade 1 “ready for action – at any time – worldwide”, with cold start and multi-role capability across the entire intensity spectrum. This spectrum of missions ranges from operations for conflict prevention and crisis management to national and alliance defense. With their special mix of capabilities and materials, they are primarily used in special land operations such as airmobile operations, rescue and evacuation operations, rapid initial operations and, above all, in airborne operations.
