The Lithuanian Defense Material Agency has ordered 230 Arocs trucks and 141 Zetros trucks with a total value of 260 million euros from the Lithuanian Mercedes-Benz branch Veho Lietuva, Vilnius, to be delivered in the period 2023 to 2030. The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense (Krašto Apsaugos Ministerijos, KAM) informed about the conclusion of the contract. The vehicles are manufactured by Daimler AG in Wörth am Rhein.

“Modern military equipment allows our troops to prepare for logistical operations and better ensure mobility. Based on the lessons learned from the war in Ukraine, we know how important it is to have high-quality vehicles capable of transporting equipment and ammunition to any location,” said Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas.

In January 2021, Lithuania ordered 120 unarmored G-Class off-road vehicles from Mercedes-Benz for almost 32 million euros, which are to be delivered starting this summer. In addition, 34 Unimog U500 tactical trucks with a payload of five tons are to be delivered in July.
