Oshkosh Defense has now received its 15th production contract for the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) since series production began in 2015. The multi-purpose vehicle is procured centrally by the US Army for all branches of the US armed forces as well as for some NATO and alliance partners. The new order concerns the delivery of 1,669 JLTVs, 868 associated trailers as well as the associated package and installation kits and is worth 591.6 million US dollars (the equivalent of approximately 523 million euros).

With the new contract, 20,000 vehicles worth six billion US dollars are now under contract. That is about half of the needs reported by the US armed forces. Oshkosh says it has already built over 14,000 JLTVs. As Oshkosh writes, the international momentum surrounding the JLTV continues to grow.
