At the international military-technical forum Army 2021 from August 22 to 28 near Moscow, the Russian state holding Rostec presented the Listva remote-controlled mine clearance vehicle. The system developed by KPZ Kaskad, which belongs to Ruselectronics Holding, enables the search and disposal of explosive devices at a distance of up to 100 meters, writes Rostec.

The 6×6 vehicle offers space for at least two people and carries an extendable search and destruction device at the front, a microwave radiator on the roof as well as receiving devices for electromagnetic waves and means for generating radio interference.

Kaskad refers - without giving further details - to a non-linear tracking device and automated technical tools as reconnaissance tools. In addition, the vehicle has an autonomous power supply system, personal protective equipment and communication equipment.

In order to neutralize explosive devices made with mobile phones, Listva should be able to emit radio signals at frequencies typical of civilian electronics. "For this reason, when the mine comes within range of the emitters of the demining machine, the detonation of the ammunition occurs at a safe distance," writes Rostec.

The Listva mine clearance system is intended to be used as a lead vehicle for convoys of vehicles, for which it clears the roadway if necessary.
