The United States Marine Corps (USMC) has selected a new hearing protection solution from INVISIO. In addition to ensuring hearing protection, the Marines' acoustic situational awareness should be improved. According to a report from the company, the order value of the first lot is around four million euros (43 million SEK), and the solutions are expected to be delivered in the next six months.

“We are very pleased to have won the Marine Hearing Enhancement Program competition. We look forward to providing Marines with a range of hearing protection and tactical communications systems that will enhance both their protection and capabilities,” said Ray Clarke, CEO of INVISIO Communications Inc. in the US.

Die INVISIO-Systeme sind mit U.S.M.C. Funkgeräten und dem U.S.M.C. Gefechtshelm (Enhanced Combat Helmet) kompatibel. Die Systeme bestehen sowohl aus kommunikationsfähigen Versionen (Möglichkeit der Funkanbindung) als auch aus reinen Gehörschutzlösungen.

The new headset systems allow Marines to communicate with full hearing protection while providing full acoustic situational awareness. Each Marine will receive the solution that best suits their mission. According to the manufacturer, the system is particularly suitable for the tasks of the USMC thanks to its fit, form, function and comfort.

The USMC announced in September 2018 that it has a total need for 7,000 to 65,000 new hearing protection solutions over the next three years.
