Elbit System is supplying a European customer with weapons, reconnaissance, driving and situational awareness systems for around 230 armored vehicles worth $300 million (equivalent to 278 million euros), the company announced on February 20. The contract has a term of six years and includes customer-specific development, production, maintenance over the entire life cycle and complete support in the country.
Elbit published the news a day after signing the delivery contract for 225 Pandur Evo. The wheeled armored vehicles are expected to be delivered by GDELS in the same period that Elbit has specified for its deliveries.
In der Vergangenheit gab es schon eine enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen Elbit Systems und GDELS. Vorhandene und im Bau befindliche GDELS-Fahrzeuge sind/werden mit Elbit-Komponenten ausgestattet. Elbit selbst weist auch auf die gute Zusammenarbeit hin.
Therefore, there can be little doubt that Elbit's client is the main contractor for the Pandur, GDELS.
