The Bundeswehr Aviation Office summarizes the technical responsibility for safety in military flight operations in Germany. In addition to the registration of all types of aircraft, it is also responsible, among other things, for issuing licenses to flying, technical and aeromedical personnel.

Kuebart: Im November 2013 wurde die Grundlage für die Aufstellung des Luftfahrtamtes der Bundeswehr (LufABw) gelegt. Ziel war die Verbesserung der Zusammenarbeit in der Militärluftfahrt im Rahmen der EU und der NATO durch einheitliche Standards bei Zertifizierung und Zulassung sowie in der Instandhaltung.
