HENSOLDT is working with the Danish company MyDefence to supply a Southeast Asian customer with a drone defense system.

The system for the civilian customer consists of a unit of HENSOLDT Spexer 360 radar. MyDefence from Denmark is adding its Watchdog 200 Direction Finding radio frequency drone detector (WD200) networked and command and control alert system. Integrated into an anti-drone vehicle, it is intended to monitor the difficult airspace in urban areas. In an urban environment where potential targets are tightly clustered, monitoring the airspace to detect unmanned threats and take action is a crucial and challenging task, not least as drones continue to get smaller.

The Counter-UAS suite developed by HENSOLDT and MyDefence allows the user to see a threat detected by the system on a map with an overlay of selected zones. An alarm is immediately displayed on the server's screen.

The modular Xpeller system from HENSOLDT has repeatedly demonstrated its capabilities in 2019: by monitoring the G7 summit in Biarritz, by protecting the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget and by securing the French national parade on July 14 in Paris . MyDefence's RF sensors have been in service with military and civilian customers since 2015 and have protected the largest number of US Army soldiers in rural and urban conflict zones.
