The origin of modern SDR technology dates back to the late 1990s. SDR was no longer just an academic topic, but became a subject of the real market. Certainly, the main driver behind the realization of SDR in everyday life was the strong impetus that came from mobile communications, which initially revealed the great potential of SDR and prompted companies to promote its development, taking advantage of the significant economies of scale in the mobile market and investments involved in the development of this sector.
