Asymmetric and conventional NBC threats, transnational terrorism, the threat of weapons of mass destruction with nuclear, biological and chemical potential as well as the release of industrial NBC hazardous substances are the challenges for NBC defense that must be met preventively.
D.This requires forces, resources, skills and measures that enable the Bundeswehr to successfully carry out operations up to and including combat, even under NBC conditions, in a holistic and systematic approach from all capability providers.
