The better the armed forces are trained, the higher their chance of surviving in action. It is not for nothing that it is said: “Whoever shoots first and hits better wins the fire fight”. Institutions and simulators help to optimize training for soldiers, be it on their hand weapons, on complex weapon systems or on a tactical, operational and strategic level. But AI-supported simulations are also beginning to influence training and further education. Due to the importance of training and simulators for armed forces, these topics are the focus of the current July issue of European Security & Technology.

In addition, the new edition deals with the National Security Strategy and the foreseeable tough social debate that manifests itself in it.
