Israel wants to buy more submarines from the German shipyard thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (tkMS). An agreement has been reached with the Israeli Ministry of Defense on the framework conditions for the purchase of three Dakar-class submarines, writes tkMS in a recent press release. After extensive negotiations, all parties involved agreed on the technical content and contractual regulations today, Thursday. According to Rolf Wirtz, CEO of tkMS, Israel will be equipped with innovative cutting-edge technology with the new submarine class. The agreement shows thyssenkrupp Marine Systems' great commitment to ensuring Israel's security in the long term. According to Israeli media, the purchase price for the boats is said to be around three billion euros. According to reports, Germany will assume part of these costs.

According to the company, it has already invested around 250 million euros in its shipyard in preparation for the expected order. Just last summer, tkMS was commissioned to deliver six identical submarines of the U212CD class for Norway and Germany, worth more than five billion euros.
