Elbit Systems has renamed its wholly owned German subsidiary Telefunken Racoms to Elbit Systems Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. Elbit wants to strengthen its business activities in Germany with the name change.

“The name change opens up clear prospects for sustainable growth for us. We will use the opportunity to convince our customers with increased innovative strength, a significant increase in competence and ultimately a more attractive product range," said Thomas Nützel, who led Telefunken Racoms as CEO for ten years and will remain CEO of Elbit Systems Germany even after the name change.

Current projects for the Bundeswehr include SDR radios E-LynX for the Panzergrenadier system, night vision and thermal imaging devices, Directional Infra-Red Countermeasure (DIRCM) protection systems for A400M, radar warning receivers and EW controllers for CH-53GS/GE.
