Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles supplies another 1,000 unprotected militarized vehicles (UTF mil) to the Bundeswehr. End of December 2019 has BAAINBw awarded the supply contract with a volume of 382 million euros.
675 trucks come with 6 × 6 all-wheel drive and are designed for a military payload of five tons. The remaining 325 vehicles are all-wheel drive four-axle (8 × 8) for a military payload of 15 tons. Production in RMMV plant in Vienna has begun. The 1,000 vehicles will be delivered by the end of the year.

For the UTF mil the BAAINBw was completed on July 5, 2017 RMMV a framework agreement for a total of 2,271 logistic trucks and immediately access the first tranche of 558 vehicles. Other calls were made in May 2019 (252 vehicles) and in November 2019 (60 vehicles). So is still pending the retrieval of 401 vehicles.
The now ordered, robust and all-terrain vehicles have a military base configuration and should be available for tasks related to the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) 2023 available to the Bundeswehr.
