As KNDS has announced, the four companies KNDS Deutschland, KNDS France, Rheinmetall Landsysteme and THALES SIX want to act in the jointly supported project company MGCS in accordance with the bilateral Franco-German agreement. The new, innovative "level pillar approach" for implementation is suitable for ensuring a fair distribution of the workload in a balanced ratio of 50:50 between French and German companies, also taking into account the companies' complementary technical skills and resources.

Defense Minister Pistorius said on April 26: “The contracts should be ready by the end of the year.” The contracts are scheduled to be signed next year. According to unconfirmed reports, the 25 million euro template should be developed by the middle of the year.
