Around 2.4 billion euros from the special fund are available to improve the troops' clothing and personal equipment. Bw Clothing Management GmbH (BwBM) concluded contracts with various suppliers in 2022 to purchase modern protective vest systems, combat clothing, combat helmets and backpack systems in large quantities. By the end of 2025, enough material will be delivered to equip the active troops and large parts of the reserve.
