Rheinmetall is cooperating with the Estonian company DefSecIntel on the project. The SurveilSPIRE reconnaissance systems include mobile surveillance towers with day and night vision camera equipment, autopilot mini drones and a guidance system. According to the announcement, the mobile surveillance towers SurveilSPIRE from the Estonian manufacturer DefSecIntel are loaded onto trailers. The construction required only three people, the operation is automated. The system has radio links (4G and Starlink) for video transmission to a mobile headquarters. According to Rheinmetall, solar cells enable sustainable operation without power cables or dependence on operating materials. The system uses autopilot-controlled reconnaissance drones that can carry out patrol or mission flights.
