With the airborne platform, the Bundeswehr, in cooperation with the Dutch armed forces, plans to modernize the current vehicle fleet of the Rapid Forces Division and the 11th Airmobile Brigade. It is planned to unify the vehicle fleet of the two airborne troops. In addition to the different variants of the Mongoose and the so-called airborne wolves, the new, uniform airborne platform is also intended to replace the Wiesel-2 and the Dutch airborne vehicle fleets.
