As Galvion writes, the Cobra helmet system was one of the first helmet shells to be made from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. It was introduced with a comprehensive set of modular components to accommodate widely available head accessories and allow soldiers to quickly customize armor to match mission needs. With the individually adaptable, comfortable Modular Suspension System (MSS), not only a lighter, but also a more comfortable helmet has been created, which at the same time offers outstanding protection against blunt force impact and ballistics. Since its launch in 2012, Galvion has delivered over 200,000 Cobra systems to UK and European users.
