Germany delivers four more self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine

The Bundeswehr will provide Ukraine with another four Panzerhaubitz 2000 and an additional ammunition package. According to a statement from the Ministry of Defence, the delivery will be initiated immediately "despite the tense own material situation". After discussions with the industry about the accelerated supply of overhauled guns from the repair of the army, these are intended for the Ukraine.

"The Panzerhaubitzen 2000 delivered by Germany and the Netherlands have more than proven themselves in combat," emphasized Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht.

Die Ukraine sei voll des Lobes für das System und habe den Wunsch nach weiteren Haubitzen geäußert. Dem werde jetzt entsprochen. „Damit steigt die Zahl dieser von Deutschland gelieferten Hochleistungsgeschütze auf 14“, so Lambrecht. Neben Deutschland haben auch die Niederlande Panzerhaubitzen 2000 der Ukraine übergeben. Mit der neuen Lieferung steigt deren Gesamtzahl auf 22.
