At the beginning of July, Gregor Zowierucha took over the management of the system house Elbit Systems Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. As Elbit goes on to write in a press release, the graduate industrial engineer previously held various management positions in the German defense technology industry, including at ESG in the areas of mission aircraft and unmanned systems and most recently at Rheinmetall in Bremen.

Zowierucha succeeds the long-standing Managing Director Thomas Nützel at the helm of Elbit Systems Germany, who is retiring at the same time. He is handing over a company to his successor that, according to the information, has extensive expertise in the areas of communication and data links, cyber security, electro-optical systems and solutions for the digital battlefield.

Before working in the private sectorZowierucha served in the Bundeswehr after the general staff course, initially as an officer in the center for communications and after his deployment in Afghanistan he was employed in posts in the German Embassy in Washington DC, the Operations Command and the Federal Ministry of Defence.
