Nine companies of the Polish defense group PGZ have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tank destroyers with MBDA UK. According to a press release from MBDA UK, the agreement allows for the development and production of vehicles of this class, which will use MBDA UK's Brimstone-type anti-tank guided missiles.

As early as 2019, representatives of PGZ and MBDA UK had reached an agreement on cooperation. According to MBDA UK, this is now being continued and forms the basis for the integration of anti-tank guided missiles into the client's tank destroyer vehicles and the production of the Brimstone missile in the PGZ facilities.

The cooperation is part of the OTTOKAR-BRZOZA program, which envisages the Polish Armed Forces acquiring self-propelled tank destroyers. Based on a modern platform, the systems should be able to destroy armored targets using anti-tank guided missiles. The project also includes support and command vehicles.

"By deepening our collaboration around Brimstone, together we will support the development of Poland's military and industrial capabilities and strengthen the strategic ambitions of our companies," said Chris Allam, Managing Director of MBDA UK.
