After the unbundling, the Swiss RUAG International achieved a positive operating result for the first time with sales increasing by five percent to 1.24 billion Swiss francs (1.19 billion euros). After a deficit of 224 million Swiss francs (215 million euros) last year, RUAG International was able to record a profit of 70 million francs (67 million euros) in 2021, as the company announced. The order backlog grew slightly to 1.2 billion francs.

According to the information, all four business areas – RUAG Space, RUAG Aerostructures, RUAG Ammotec and RUAG MRO International – contributed to the positive result.

The streamlining of the portfolio will continue to be pursued. Following the sale of aircraft activities to General Atomics in 2021, agreements have already been reached this year with Thales for RUAG S&T and with Beretta for Ammotec.

For 2022, RUAG International expects significant changes in key figures for the entire group, but continues to expect positive business performance and a positive operating result (EBIT).
