The United Arab Emirates Air Force will use 80 Rafale F4 fighter jets from French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation. The contract for the delivery of the machines was signed today in the United Arab Emirates in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed ben Zayed Al Nahyane.

According to Dassault CEO Eric Trappier, this is the largest order ever won by the French military aerospace industry. For the first time, the Rafale F4 version will be delivered to a customer outside of France. According to press releases, the project volume is in the tens of billions.

According to Dassault, it has had a relationship with the United Arab Emirates Air Force for more than 45 years and has, among other things, supplied the Mirage 2000-9 fighter jet to the armed forces there.
