The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has approved Virtual Solution's SecurePIM Government SDS system for the exchange of security-critical classified information within NATO, but also between authorities and companies. The approval applies to classified information up to VS-For official use only (VS NfD) and recently also for the equivalent NATO Restricted classification level, which is exchanged with mobile communication devices with IOS operating system from version 14. There is a release recommendation for devices with Android operating systems and the approval process is coming to an end.
Über eine Smartcard als Sicherheitsanker trennt SecurePIM den privaten vom dienstlichen Bereich und stellt die Schlüssel für sichere Kommunikation bereit. In einer Containerlösung werden die Daten so gesichert, dass keine App auf dem Gerät und keine nicht autorisierte Person darauf zugreifen kann. Damit können verschlüsselte E-Mails gesendet und empfangen werden. Der Absender einer E-Mail kann über eine eindeutige Signatur zuverlässig identifiziert werden. Innerhalb der SecurePIM App werden alle Daten verschlüsselt abgelegt. Optional sind Ende-zu-Ende verschlüsselte Gespräche möglich.
