A good two years after deliveries began in 2018, Arquus was able to hand over the 2,000th command and liaison vehicle VT4 to the French armed forces. This is almost half of the 4,380 light tactical multi-purpose vehicles on order, which are intended for use at home, in overseas territories and in stabilized conflict zones. 3980 VT4 are earmarked for the army, the rest goes to the other branches of the armed forces.

Along with the delivery order, Arquus has been commissioned to service and maintain the vehicles. The company has committed to ensuring that 95 percent of the vehicles are always available. To do this, the company relies on a service network whose locations - including overseas - are no more than 50 km away from where the vehicles are stationed.

Ergänzt wird das VT4-Paket durch Ausbildung der Besatzungen, die das Fahrzeug nutzen, für das Wartungspersonal und nicht zuletzt für Arquus-Mitarbeiter in den Servicestützpunkten.

Weighing around three tons, the VT4 is a militarized Ford Everest that can accommodate five people (or four FELIN-equipped infantrymen). It is equipped with air conditioning and driving assistants. Greater ground clearance is helpful for the emergency services. The vehicle is prepared for the integration of the SITEL guidance and communications system, two PR4G radios with integrated encryption and satellite-based navigation.
