The Tactical Power Pack was specially developed as an external power source for the Bittium device peripherals for all aspects of tactical communication. It contains two lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 70 Wh (6.7 Ah) each, which are connected as a unit with an adapter so that the Tactical Power Pack can also be used as a charger for the two batteries. In the field, the batteries can be exchanged for new, fully charged batteries in quick succession without interrupting the power supply to the device to be charged. According to the manufacturer, the small size and low weight of the Tactical Power Pack also allow it to be easily attached to the soldier's equipment together with the device to be charged. The entire package weighs approx. 1.1 kg (adapter 300 g, battery 415 g each).

According to Bittium, the water and dust resistance according to IP67 and the shock resistance according to MIL-STD-810G guarantee the use of the Tactical Power Pack even under rough conditions.

The in-house radios Bittium Tough SDR Handheld and Bittium Tough Comnode are among the primary uses of the Power Pack. It can also be used as an external power source or charging station for tablets and smartphones. The connection is made using a USB port.
