The night vision capabilities of aircraft crews can be improved by two new adaptations. Firstly, there is an improved mount for aviation night vision glasses. It is to become the new standard in the field of mounts in aviation.

The manufacturer Wilcox praises this new Aeronox NVG system as a light, yet reinforced system that enables more reliable operation even under the toughest conditions. Its modular design is easy to maintain: the aim is to significantly reduce costs over the entire life of the product. The mount is compatible with a variety of flight and combat helmets.

It is also adjustable in height and can therefore be used for a large number of helmets with a low profile design. It offers a tether / lanyard integrated with a Lemostecker, a revised and more robust LBI design and a low battery indicator. The universal interface allows mounting on all common aviator helmets.

In addition to maintenance and repair of night vision goggles according to the US DOT FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), Wilcox Aeronox is now also offered by IEA Mil-Optics GmbH.

Another innovation is a modular and repairable power supply for aviation night vision glasses. The Aeronox Battery Pack offers an advanced solution for powering night vision systems in aviation. The flat and light design is designed so that the burden on the user when wearing it over a longer period of time is minimal. Made entirely from reinforced polymer, the battery compartment is robust enough to withstand the toughest environments. If there is any damage, it is complete and easy to repair thanks to its modular design. This increases the lifespan and minimizes life cycle costs.

Other features include a removable quick release plate, an integrated quick release, removable counterweights, a dual supply on-off-on and a Lemo connector for all common systems.

Since maintenance and repairs can be carried out by IEA in Germany, processing times and costs are reduced.
