L3Harris Technologies recently announced the beginning of the 3,000th STORM-SLX laser rangefinder to the US Army to have delivered. This handy optical laser distance measuring device provides an enhanced performance over its predecessor STORM-PI.

The STORM-SLX laser rangefinder includes an advanced Erbiumglaslaser. The system comprises, in addition to a target laser in the near infrared (NIR), a visible aiming laser a NIR illumination tunable laser divergence, a high-precision dynamic magnetic compass and a GPS external interface.
