Since April 2016, the Rheinmetall MAN joint venture Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) supplies within the Armament project land 121 Phase 3B 2,536 highly mobile logistics vehicles to the Australian Defense Forces. Deliveries are to be completed in April 2020th As part of the exercise Talisman Saber, the Australian Defense Minister Linda Reynolds end of 2019 declared the operational capability for the armament program.

Characteristic oak trees of the program is the participation of Australian industry, particularly in the integration, final assembly and delivery. For the logistical backbone of the Australian armed forces, Rheinmetall has supplied the vehicles of the HX2 series in seven variants: heavy integrated AC charging system (HX-77), heavy tipper (HX-77), medium Tipper (40-M), tractor (HX-81) , heavy recovery vehicle (45M), medium platform with crane (40M) and medium platform (40M).

The truck program continues with Phase 5B, provides in RMMV until 2024 further 1,004 vehicles and 872 modules - again with the involvement of Australian industry.
