In the Baden-Wuerttemberg Terror Exercise (BWTEX), the largest interdisciplinary practice of security agencies in the West Germany, exercised 2,500 emergency personnel from the police, civil protection units and military procedures and cooperation for the control an extensive terrorist situation.

The three-day exercise began in the fall of 2019 with an exhibition in the Albkaserne in Stetten, where the technical equipment of authorities and organizations with security tasks was issued. In a command post exercise on the following day the preparation of the necessary implementing measures, the need for communication lines as well as the interplay of the forces involved was tested. Thus one of the foundations for the full exercise was laid.
