With an opening ceremony attended by the Bavarian Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder HENSOLDT inaugurated its new Fimenzentrale in Taufkirchen on October 29 of 2019.

In the immediate vicinity of the former parent company Airbus, new research and development laboratories have been created on the Ludwig-Bolkow-campus alongside the actual administrative headquarters.

At the opening set HENSOLDT in-house exhibition of its portfolio in the fields of electro-optics, radar and drone defense. Ludwig-Bolkow-campus is located in the Technology and Innovation Park Taufkirchen Ottobrunn, which is home to several companies and research institutions in the aerospace and defense industry. The Bavarian state government had declared in 2018 its intention to expand the industrial park for leading aerospace location in Germany.
