DICOM the joint venture Rohde & Schwarz and MESIT

Rohde & Schwarz and the Czech company MESIT have founded a new joint venture (JV) with MESIT as the majority shareholder. The joint venture is called DICOM, sro and is based in Uherské Hradiště, Czech Republic. DICOM will operate as an advanced research and development (R&D) company. The focus is initially on the new, lightweight handheld software SOVERON defined radio (SDR) with network and multi-band capability in the UHF/VHF frequency range.

The strategic purpose is to further improve the trusted, interoperable communication system SOVERON. SOVERON stands for fully integrated, powerful and scalable Trusted Communications solutions for all areas of the armed forces.
