Lockheed Martin and Boeing have announced that they have submitted their applications for participation in the procurement program Heavy transport helicopter. The Federal Office for equipment, information technology and use of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) had announced on 28 February 2019, the "Procurement STH fleet, together with logistical support," and the May 27, 2019 set as the deadline for the request to participate.

Als gesamte Laufzeit des Vertrages hat das BAAINBw einen Zeitraum von 504 Monaten (42 Jahre) angegeben.
