Israel Weapons Indistries (IWI) has developed a new assault rifle system. IWI Carmel in caliber 5.56mm x 45 is characterized by high modularity and bilateral, ergonomic operation: Both fire selector lever and Verschlussfang- and magazine release lever can be ambidextrous press. The cocking lever can be laid on the other side of the weapon. The rate of fire is 850 rounds / minute.
