As the Nordkurier was the first to report, two Eurofighters from Laage Air Base (Tactical Air Force Squadron 73 "Steinhoff") collided in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania this afternoon. Nothing is currently known about possible victims.
According to the Bundeswehr, both pilots used the ejection seat and are currently looking for the pilots. According to a dpa report, the crash of the two machines was observed by a pilot of a third machine. This is said to have informed the Luftwaffe about the collision that took place.

- 15:21: A pilot was found alive, the second pilot is still being searched for.
- 16:30: The police in Neubrandenburg reported the discovery of a body. It has not yet been confirmed that it is the pilot.
- 17:40: The Luftwaffe confirmed that the second pilot could only be recovered dead.
