The transport of staff and equipment, the introduction of special and specialized forces by settling and / or landing and refueling of fighter aircraft and helicopters have won in recent decades increasingly important. Air transport demand is quantitatively and qualitatively increased steadily through the global operations of the Bundeswehr. Other tasks include the supply of German contingents abroad and humanitarian assistance in areas with only makeshift prepared slopes. Some of these operations are carried out under threat.
