Two components determine the vehicle-IT of the future: networking and NATO Generic Vehicle Architecture (NGVA). Especially the latter is currently in vogue, although more s, but only half of contemplation. Finally, the vehicle is to communicate not only with themselves but also as a communication node, so enabler of communication designed.

NATO Generic Vehicle Architecture provides the rules for the structure of the future IT architecture and the control and display devices in vehicles. More specifically, it is a system based on open standards NATO Standardization Agreement (STANAG 4754) for building and integration of electronic subsystems which are controlled by a multi-function control and display device. A similar concept, the BAAINBw began with the cross section Lichen control and display unit (QBA), whereas the STANAG carries British handwriting whose Generic Vehicle Architecture (GVA) has been adopted in many parts of the NGVA.
